Hi Folks! So, it’s me again. I must say that I missed you’ll
terribly during the time I was away. There was this huge vacuum that I am glad
is now filled as I am with you.
Great! With that said, let’s get straight to business. So I
hear a LOT has happened while I was away. Hm? Come on…fill me in.
Well, I wasn’t THAT out of the loop. I also heard a couple
of stuff… For instance, I know about this whole fuss about a Supreme Court case
challenging the legitimacy of the president. I even saw a couple of sessions of
it. My opinion? It’s a big JOKE! The Petitioners are bigger JOKERS. The premise
and evidence of the case is the biggest JOKE!
Either these people have been incredibly misled and are
honestly in error (in which case I’d be really sorry for them). Or they are the
vilest scumbags I’ve ever seen if they know truly that all they doing is just
to trying and throw dust into the eyes of Ghanaians.
In any case, I do not want to lend my belief to any of the
above theories. I am patiently going to
wait until each tiny leaf of this whole thing is unravelled. Believe me; I know
what’s going on. But, I will pretend I do not…and wait.
Now folks, let’s turn
our attention to a pressing issue. Let me tell you about the ‘Goat owned in
Common’ Syndrome. I have coined this name from a famous African proverb which
says that the goat owned in common dies of hunger. Of course with this,
everyone expects someone to feed the goat but at the end, NO ONE does it. Why?
Yes. Because everyone thought someone would do it and nobody did it (Quite
generous of Nobody. Doing the job Someone or Everyone was supposed to do). We
can also call it the ‘We need to’ syndrome.
What I have observed recently that leads me to this is this:
persons in authority, most often in the government agencies, when asked about
what they are doing to an issue, will almost begin to theorise about how ‘we
need to’ this or ‘we have to’ that and this BAFFLES me. Believe me friends, all
you need to do is to listen and watch carefully.
There are a lot of things bugging me which we’ll talk about.
From culture; to religion; to relationships; to the economy; you name it. Hell.
I’ll even ask questions about why what’s bugging me is bugging me.
And in one of my brighter moods, I’ll even throw in a poem
or two. You know. To keep things a bit easy around here. If I manage to upstage
Shakespeare, HURRAY! But that certainly is not my intention. So…let’s just
talk. Let’s think; and talk; and think some more.
Most of the time, I will be hard. I will be hard because the
issues are annoying. The issues are so funny that they are not funny anymore;
and because of that, I will be hard. Just so you know.
I think I must also add that sometimes too, I will get it
wrong. From grammatical errors to conceptual errors to illogical fallacies, to
silly mistakes that cannot even be named yet.
Yes. Once in a while I will get them wrong. And when I do, trust that I will appreciate the wiser brain who will show me the error of my ways.
Yes. Once in a while I will get them wrong. And when I do, trust that I will appreciate the wiser brain who will show me the error of my ways.
But in all these my friend, you can expect one thing from
me. Honesty.
With all these said, I welcome you to my mind. Enjoy the
trip.
